Now that we are in somewhat of a routine, Rae has begun to dread treatment day. On one hand she looks forward to it because it is one step closer to being finished. However, each treatment takes a bit of a toll and she has to gear up for it. It means that she is going to be sick for about 4 days, food will taste funny, her mouth will hurt and she will be very, very tired. On the bright side, she will
only be sick for 4 days, she can sleep anytime for as long as she would like, she can eat chicken soup and tuna fish and there are movies to watch. There is a plaque in the clinic that says:
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass,
it is about learning to dance in the rain.
There are many lessons to be learned. We are grateful for the blessings we have. Each day brings us closer to the goal of Rachel being healthy and strong. We are learning to dance in the rain.
